About the SEND Teaching Teams

The SEND Teaching Teams at Nottingham City Council are a group of services made up of specialist and experienced teachers and practitioners in the field of SEND.

Our mission is to see children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities, and neurodiversity flourish and excel in every educational setting across Nottingham City. We want to see all young people experience a deep sense of belonging, knowing they are valued, understood, and celebrated for who they are.

We deliver a range of training and advice, both bespoke and centralised, so that staff working in settings are confident and well-informed, equipped with a strong knowledge base and clear pathways to access support when needed. They feel empowered to create inclusive environments where every learner can thrive.
