Safeguarding

Objectives of the service

The Safeguarding in Education Service:

  • provides safeguarding training to education practitioners that equips them with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to carryout their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
  • provides bespoke training for staff working with children and young people to enable them to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children with whom they specifically work
  • delivers separate safeguarding training courses for staff with different roles and levels of responsibilities in education settings

The Training provided by the Safeguarding in Education Team:

  • is approved safeguarding training, having been quality assured by the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board
  • is delivered by staff who have significant experience and knowledge of safeguarding and teaching
  • is in line and accordance with local and national safeguarding procedures and guidance
