The Spring into Science 2017 event will aim to encourage pupils to opt for GCSE science subjects.

One session in the morning and one session in the afternoon, estimated at 10am and 1:15pm. It is suggested that each session is for a maximum of 1.5 hours to include a Q&A session at the end.  It will be structured with exciting experiments and audience participation to demonstrate that science is anything but dull.

Audience

Nottingham City Year 8 pupils with a leaning towards girls. 

Information

Nottingham University has generously offered to put on two one hour science lectures for Year 8 pupils at no charge.  They will be in the style of the Royal Institute Christmas Lectures (but not scheduled for December) and are intended to ignite and excite the audience encouraging pupils to opt for GCSE science subjects.
