What to teach and how to teach it. Assessment principles and methods in relation to newly arrived EAL learners, practical approaches and resources to teach and support EAL.

Audience Teaching staff, designated staff and other interested colleagues who work with pupils who use English as an additional language.
Information  Course outline:
  • Induction principles and assessment methods in relation to newly arrived EAL learners.
  • Use of EAL language levels to track and monitor the progress of EAL learners.
  • Practical approaches and resources to teach and support early stage English language development.
