Justine Greening announced last year in July that there would a new Research School based in Derby as part of the Opportunity Area. This is a joint funded project from the EEF, IEE and DfE. The Research Schools Network aims to put the research evidence into the hands of schools and practitioners. Research Schools will share what they know about putting research into practice and support the schools they are working with to make better use of evidence to inform their teaching and learning. The aim is to ensure that this improves the outcomes for children in the classroom.
It's been an exciting start to the journey with delivering lots of presentations and programmes across the region, spreading the message about evidence-informed practice. Looking ahead there are a large number of projects the EEF are currently recruiting for and programmes that are going to offered out to Derbyshire schools.
